Oh what a spectacle and a race just not to be missed! The night race in Singapore is as amazing as it is spectacular with the temporary street track at Marina Bay seeing the cars hurtling over and past the iconic Singaporean landmarks in a blaze of colour, noise and light.
Singapore is a race like no other and provides superb F1 hospitality with a local flavour to make your Grand Prix experience that extra bit special.
As you would expect from a city centre location there are an abundance of options available for viewing the race. The Grand Prix organisers have provided and licensed a number of private hospitality venues, and the hotels with track views give over certain vantage points for race viewing with hospitality provided. BAM have access and information on each of the options so please contact us for all the up to date availability.
Paddock club here is of the usual high standard but has a more local flavour as it is provided by the local organisers. A large garden bar and entertainment area nestles at the back of the F1 paddock and the hospitality suites are on the upper floors behind glass of the pit building which is a permanent structure, you can view down onto the grid or into the paddock with its outdoor team pavilions from here to gain birds eye views of the teams comings and goings.
Of course being a night race the start times lend themselves to evening dining and drinking and leave the rest of the day free for relaxing or recovering!
There are many grandstands available, including the vast Marina Bay stand which the cars pass under at each end. Other stands are dotted around the track offering varying quality of view, with the majority being located around the start finish straight and into turns 1 and 2. Ask BAMs advice on which of these may best suit your needs and budget.
One of the world’s most important trading ports and financial centres, Singapore is a contrast of waterside skyscrapers home to many of the world’s largest corporations and eclectic low rise Chinese and Indian communities which can be explored on foot.
The largely ex pat community frequently visit the numerous restaurants and bars around Clarke Quay and dine Alfredo on chilli crab with a refreshing cold beer in the heat and humidity that defines Singapore.
Shopping is great in many malls that adorn the city, both downtown and in the famous “Oxford Street of the orient" Orchard road.
Tourists will undoubtedly find themselves in the Long Bar in Raffles at some point, walking the carpet of peanut shells and sipping on a Singapore sling, remember, sometimes you’re allowed to be a tourist!
Outside of the city there isn’t much to see for the visitor, perhaps the beaches or night safari on Sentosa Island, which also has a couple of resort hotels. Alternatively visit the parks within the city which are tranquil if the Grand Prix concerts aren’t rehearsing.
Amber Lounge is firmly established as the hottest party in town – ANY town! One thrilling night race, one stunning venue, one spectacular water-wall, one exceptional star studded party. Amber Lounge Singapore is truly a one of a kind Grand Prix experience.

Built once a year in the heart of the cities streets, the track is a piece of logistical genius and a showcase of Singapore and its ability to organise and deliver on the greatest challenges. The circuit wends its way through the city and around the bay, passing under grandstands, across Victorian bridges and past the Raffles complex. You can view from any number of vantage points including hotels, grandstands, terraces or the spectacular paddock club.
Stay in any of the downtown 5 star hotels and be immediately in the thick of the action. BAMs preferences being the Pan Pacific, the Mandarin Oriental, Ritz Carlton (nearest the paddock and where most of the F1 fraternity locate themselves), or at the spectacular Fullerton, surely what was once the world’s most elaborate post office!
As far as the track itself is concerned the challenges for the drivers is the proximity of the unforgiving barriers and unlike its more famous cousin Monaco, average speeds are significantly higher... Oh and it’s dark. That said, the lighting is perfect and the drivers adapt their helmet visors to reduce glare, allowing spectators to see clearly into the hard concentrating eyes of the drivers.
