Accessing the circuit by car is only really a sensible option with VIP parking passes which are available through BAM as part of a paddock club package with a private car park in the centre of the track. Otherwise public transport or park and ride schemes operate dropping race fans outside the circuit by the main grandstands.

Paddock club here is a large affair, with a spectacular garden area adjacent to the F1 paddock and two floors of suites above the pits. In addition to the usual hospitality provided in fine dining, free flowing champagne and the like, Monza paddock club has a spa and hairdresser for those perhaps not quite as big motorsport fans.

For the rest of us, spectacular views of the ultra fast and wide main straight, or the exit of the challenging Parabolica corner, where a perfect exit is essential to avoid being slipstreamed down the long straight into the tight double chicane at the first corner. The view to the podium celebrations is also unrivalled with a space age projecting podium in full view of guests. The paddock club terrace also provides a great view of the track gathering Tifosi who invade the circuit at the chequered flag and descend onto the main straight in there tens of thousands, a spectacular festival of colour and enthusiasm for racing.

Out on the track there are many grandstand options available, most of which give great views of legendary corners including our favourites, Ascari and the second Variante. The walk through the park to access them just adds to the flavour of the event and the expectation of what lies ahead.

What's on offer in and around Monza?
Monza formula 1 hospitality

Most visitors to the Grand Prix base themselves either in Milan or Como, both excellent choices around 40 minutes to an hour from Monza itself.

Milan of course has some great shopping, and for those wishing to combine racing with a shopping trip to the worlds fashion capital won't be disappointed. Hotels are world class and ooze style, our favourites include the Four Seasons or Principe Di Savoia. For more information on these hotels and other great options contact BAM today.

There are plenty of other sights for tourists to see in Milan away from the shops. The fantastic Duomo Cathedral dominates the city centre and is well worth a visit, or take a trip to the canals, a seldom considered journey to an area rammed with art shops and street stalls on the waters edge.

Como offers a quieter but no less stylish place to stay. Explore Lake Como by boat, hopping from village to village down the lake, or take the vehicular to the hill tops and saviour the views of the town and lake.

Hotels here are varied, from the more simplistic locally owned to the Villa D'est which is renowned as one of the best hotels in the world. BAM have options here for those wanting something truly special.

If you have more time, a trip out to Maranello, or pilgrimage perhaps, is a must for the Ferrari fan as this is the host to the famous factory and test track at Fiorano. Visit the museum or dine in the factories fine restaurant amongst the prancing horses, or visit the vast memorabilia stores that are all around this small town.

There has been a race track in the park at Monza since 1922 and the place is alive with the ghosts and memories of races past. The old banking is visible around the modern Grand Prix venue and passes over it at the entrance to the Ascari chicane where the latest machinery passes at over 200 mph.

Slip by the officials and take some steps up the banking in disbelief at the security of the angles and join the debate as to the bravest and best drivers of the old and modern eras.

Parabolica, Grand Curve, the Lesmos, these are true legendary corners to test any driver, and access to view these great corners is easy with a stroll through the woods. Surely there is nowhere one can be closer to a car at full speed than the inside of Lesmo 1 where you can stare into the drivers eyes as they negotiate the ultra quick right hander.

Wherever you pause to watch there’s an espresso or vino in reach to keep you comfortable whilst marveling at the spectacle on the race track.

Located just a short train, bus or car journey from stylish Milan, or an hour from the shores of Lake Como, Monza is a great place to be watching racing on so many levels and has something for everyone.
