Belgian Grand Prix F1 Packages

2nd September 2012

If ever there was a Grand Prix track to stir the soul of fans and drivers alike, then it has to be Spa Franchorchamps, a place of legends and memories nestled in the Ardennes between the pines. Spa is a real race track that was once partially public roads but now shortened and a permanent facility. You can get lost in the atmosphere of the reverberating noise of Formula 1 cars hurtling through the forest and the gentle aromas of waffles and frites avec mayonnaise from the trackside huts.

Viewing and hospitality at Spa
F1 hospitality Spa

The construction of the new F1 pits a few years ago and the remodeling of the bus stop chicane has created a great location for the exclusive paddock club. Enjoy all of the refinements of fine dining and free flowing champagne with exceptional views of the La Source hairpin, the tightest first corner in F1 and the run down to Eau Rouge, probably the most legendary corner in F1. When it comes to watching Formula 1, it just doesn't get better than this!

Should you choose to enjoy the racing from a grandstand BAM can supply all options and advise on the best views and value, there are no bad views in Spa, just wetter ones and some with a longer walk, let BAM point out the pitfalls and avoid the trek!

Various packages are available surrounding the new circuit hotel and BAM have the access as usual. Call us today for more information and availability.

What's on offer in and around Spa?

Spa is of course a racing venue and not particularly abundant in non-racing related sightseeing, so our advice is to stay close and enjoy the atmosphere in Francorchamps, Spa and the surrounding villages. There are some real gems nestled in the forest and BAM can let you know how to find them.

For those in need of a city fix, Liege offers the nearest possibility, a lovely town on the banks of the river, with winding cobbled streets and a multitude of beer halls and traditional and international restaurants. A number of chain hotels are found here also, and at around 1 hour to the circuit, represents a good option for the weekend.

Eau Rouge, Stavelot, Pouhon, La Source… names to conjure with in motor racing history around the longest lap currently on the F1 calendar. A dying breed of racetracks where general admission out ways grandstands and hospitality, you can circumnavigate the track stopping off amongst the trees to watch F1 machinery at full chat through some of the most challenging corners in the world....

And then there is the weather, Spa is renowned for its unpredictable weather, dry at La Source and raining at the top of the circuit at La Combe, and dry again in moments, this is what makes Spa special.

Approaching the circuit starts the experience, Spa is 10 minutes away from the Francorchamps circuit, the point to leave the motorway if you are staying out of town to the north and wend your way through to the racing village of Francorchamps itself. On arrival you will see an explosion of colour and fans shuffling down to the circuit entrance through the merchandise and model shops, or for a quieter journey access from the villages of Malmedy and Stavelot may suit you best.

Of course the crowds are all part and parcel of the experience at a venue such as Spa but let BAM take away the hassle with preferential parking and private access arrangements should that be your preference.
