In 2009 Abu Dhabi appeared on the Grand Prix calendar for the first time and immediately raised the bar and redefined the standard of a Grand Prix venue. Not just an epic race track running day into night, but cutting edge accommodation in The Yas Hotel, stunning architecture and F1 hospitality, a marina, a concert venue, and a purpose built Ferrari World theme park complete with displays and even a roller coaster.
In just three years the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has become the F1 event to attend.
As perhaps you would expect from a brand new facility, viewing at whichever level is first class. All viewing is either from hospitality venues or covered grandstands, with no areas of general admission.
Paddock club offers a pit stop view, with great views into the first corner, and to the rear a fantastic panorama across the paddock village, the Marina and the Yas Hotel. An area of seating is provided on a mezzanine level below the paddock club suites should you wish to get closer to the action, if you prefer, relax on the white sofas with a glass of champagne and soak up the atmosphere whilst watching the live feeds on the abundance of screens provided.

If you are going to create a first class venue, you need a first class track, and the Yas Marina circuit does not disappoint boasting a one mile straight, a Monaco-esque harbour section, a tunnel running from the pit lane to the track and a section of track which actually passes through the hotel. Adding the ability to run races day or night or as with the current timing day into night, this track boasts everything.
The track itself is found on the man-made island of Yas, around 20 minutes by motorway from Abu Dhabi itself, just ten minutes from the International Airport and only an hour from Dubai making easy access with limited traffic. The organisers are keen to demonstrate and promote Arab hospitality so every comfort aid is provided for the visitor, from courtesy cars around the circuit to free shuttles to and from the track into Abu Dhabi.
